  • Its been awhile since I've updated and alot has happened. First of summer is over and it went by really fast. I worked at Taco Bell all summer just like last year. The last couple weeks of the summer were pretty good because I started dating this awesome guy named Jarvis. Jarvis works at Pizza Hut during the summer which is right next to Taco Bell which is how we met. Jarvis is just amazing, he's come down to Kalamazoo twice since the school year started and both times have been just amazing. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend who see's past my issues and see's a beautiful young lady. Also my sister Joy has a boyfriend too and its been real good for her. She is dating Jarvis's best friend Carlos and she's really blossomed and actually socializes now because Carlos and Jarvis comes with a great group of friends. My baby sister's growing up :(

School keeps me very busy. I'm taking 15 credits this year and every class requires lots of reading and studying. Well all but one class, my social work 4000 class, Problem Solving with Individuals and Families, that class is awesome. We have a book but we don't really use it much because the teacher goes over all the important stuff at the beginning of class then the rest of class we are actually doing exercises that use the concepts we've just learned. I've learned so much in that class. Next semester I start my internship and I'm pretty nervous and excited about it. For the spring semester we have to do 16 hours a week plus class time and for the summer semester we have to do 29 hours a week. I'm not sure how I'm gonna work while doing my internship.

Work is still work. I still work at the Taco Bell on campus as a team trainer though that may change soon. I may be getting promoted to manager soon (hope I didn't just jinx it). We have a lot of new people and most of them are hard workers though we do have a couple people who need to go. We do have one major airhead, no matter how many times you try to explain something to her she just doesn't get it and she can't follow simple instructions. For example the other day I asked her to get chicken from the walk in and put it in the thermalizer and press the chicken button. She came back a couple minutes later with the chicken and asked what to do with it and so I repeated the instuctions and had to show her where the thermalizer was for the 5th time that day and then had to remind her to press the chicken button. I don't think she's gonna last long because she has to be constantly told what to do and how to do it. If its slow she just stands around and stares at everyone working and I have to actually not only tell her to clean something I have to show her what to clean and what to use. I've asked her to do dishes and had to actually show her how to wash them.

  • Had more fillings done today. My wisdom teeth are coming in and pushing my teeth together causing them to crack. My dentist wants to get all my teeth fixed before he has my wisdom teeth taken out. He wants me to get braces though in 7th grade when my other dentist referred me to an orthodontist he said  braces won't fix my over-bite I'd have to actually have surgery to lengthen my lower jaw.

  • Hi everyone! I'm just getting started on Xanga... Drop me a comment if you've got some ideas on what to do first - or just to say, "Hi!" :-)
  • Advice?

I need some advice. I’ve been having problems at work with a certain manager. She has basically been harassing me as well as other employees. She’ll pick who she likes and who she doesn’t, if she doesn’t like you then no matter what you do she will be basically following you around the whole shift and tell you everything you do wrong and if you’re not doing anything wrong she’ll make things up that you are “doing wrong.” If you try to stand up to her and tell her that you didn’t do whatever it was or that you were about to do whatever you “forgot” to do she’ll keep arguing with you until you yell back and she has reason to send you home and write you up or you walk away which according to her is “defying authority.” She has started writing me up for the smallest and stupidest things, luckily most of these has been thrown out by the general manager but I got one yesterday that was because I asked her to stop following me and just let me do my job and that I walked away whenever she tried to ask me to do something. Which is just bullshit and when I walk away its because she won’t leave a topic alone and I don’t want to start a fight. The general manager knows about this but hasn’t really done anything about it and she’s really close with the regional manager. I have done everything I can think of to deal with this situation but I’m at a lose anybody got any advice?

  • Well only one more week of school, exam week dun dun dun..... Got several exams and I'm not sure how ready I am for them. Had my partner for my ASL exam come over today and we went over the dialog gotta practice that alot. I do have one teacher who really hasn't decided if he's gonna give the exam I'm hoping he emails us saying he's not gonna do the exam. I'm so ready for my break, no classes and probably no work. I'll get to spend time with friends and family. Totally looking forward to going to Berts with my sister. I really just need some good times and some relaxation. I should be coming home on the 16th.
